Malnutrition Awareness Week

We are excited to announce that Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has proclaimed September 14-18, 2026, Malnutrition Awareness Week!
Malnutrition Awareness WeekTM is an annual, multi-organizational campaign created by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) in 2012 to:
- Educate healthcare professionals about early detection and treatment of malnutrition.
- Educate consumers/patients on the importance of discussing their nutrition status with healthcare professionals.
- Increase awareness of nutrition’s role on patient recovery.
We invite you to join us in spreading the word about the importance of preventing, identifying, and treating disease-related malnutrition. You can learn more about the work ASPEN is doing to fight malnutrition and about what you can do to support it here. You can also utilize their toolkit to help get the message out.
And finally, ASPEN has some amazing Malnutrition Awareness WeekTM webinars that are free for ASPEN members and MAW Ambassadors. There’s still time to register, so hurry and save your spot.
