Board Nominations 2021-2022

The Portland Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics is currently seeking candidates for a variety of board positions for the 2021-2022 calendar year.  Nominate yourself or someone you think would be perfect for the job.  We welcome new faces and fresh ideas on the Portland Academy Board! 

Which position is perfect for you?

President-Elect: The President-Elect of the Portland Academy plays an active management role. The President creates agendas for all Board member meetings, works with board members to create a working calendar of events for the year, assists with finding speakers and topics for member meetings and events, as well as set future goals for the association that are consistent with both the Oregon academy and Academy strategic plans. If you are interested in running for our President position, please see the full position description and fill out the nomination form for yourself or someone you would like to nominate below!

Nominating Committee Chair: Participate in meetings and events to meet and recruit new board members. Set up nominations and voting for PortlandAcademy members.  

Nominating Committee Member (up to 5 positions): Collaborate with Nominating Chair to recruit new board members.

Student Liaison: This position acts as a liaison between the Portland Academy and dietetic interns/nutrition students in the Portland-metro area. The main goal of the student liaison position is to encourage dietetic interns and nutrition students to join the Portland Academy and advertise upcoming events on a consistent basis. If you would like to work with the nutrition programs to coordinate the Portland Academy/OHSU events, please see the full description below and fill out the nomination form for yourself or someone you would like to nominate!

Each board member has specific responsibilities, however events are a team effort! All Portland Academy board members assist with organizing and hosting events throughout the year. All board members are required to attend bimonthly board meetings and quarterly Portland Academy events as well as fulfill their position description duties per attached.
