POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Director of Nutrition

The Oregon Dairy Products Commission (dba Oregon Dairy and Nutrition Council) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team to direct and deliver nutrition programming that contributes to the health and well-being of Oregonians and a thriving dairy industry in Oregon. The individual in this position convenes and connects health and wellness thought leaders and community partners to build confidence and trust in the essential role dairy foods play in a sustainable food system.

Working as part of a dynamic small office team, the successful candidate will have a minimum of seven to 10 years’ professional experience in nutrition education, communication and/or promotion. RD/RDN is required. Important to the success of this work is a positive attitude and an appreciation for the growth and prosperity of Oregon’s dairy industry.

This is a management position and reports to the Executive Director.

As an agency of the State of Oregon, the Commission provides a benefit package including PEBB medical, vision and dental insurance; paid vacation, three paid personal days, sick leave and holidays; employee assistance program (EAP), and contribution toward Oregon PERS state retirement plan. Options for life and disability insurance are available. This is a full-time, unrepresented salaried position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Starting Salary Range: $ 88,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.

• Ten years of nutrition work experience to include: education, communication and/or promotion.
• BS in Nutrition, MS preferred
• RD/RDN required

• Specific knowledge of dairy nutrition science and the Pacific NW dairy industry is desirable.
