New Business:
- Southern Oregon RDs have requested a meeting be held in the Salem area,
so that they can attend. Will consider and try to plan for 2004.
-St. Vincent's is hiring a FT Pediatric RD. Contact Terese Scollard or Jennifer
Niemeyer
- Betty Izumi and Ellen Schuster have written a position paper on hunger and
food security.
- ALERT, Need to get PNPG more visible in groups such as NCO. Looking for someone
for group to be liason to NCO.
-Juleeanna Andreoni is asking members to contact legislators regarding pediatric
Obesity.
-Group is encouraged to sign up for ODA updates.
Old Business:
-Jennifer provided a proposed budget, and it was approved by the group.
Questions regarding budget were:1. Do we need to budget money to pay Connie
Evers for updating web site and 2. change ad in ODA news letter to advertise/promote
the ORPNPG.
-Group agrees to pay for speaker; possible in conjunction with ODA. Edie Leonard
agreed to be our link to ODA.
- It is possible that NCO could partner with our group for a speaker.
-Diane Smith agreed to check on getting scholarship to get a speaker.
-RD members vs guest members: It was agreed that guest member dues are considered
a donation, and are entitled to e-mails regarding announcements communications
other than meeting minutes.
-Only paid ODA and PNPG members to receive meeting minutes starting October
2003.
-Please remember to renew you membership!!!!!
