Registered Dietitians are the Nutrition Experts
The Oregon Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is pleased to introduce our media representatives.
As registered dietitians, we encounter consumers seeking real, science-based clarification of nutrition information (or misinformation) they get from the internet, newspapers and magazines, television, or from the neighbor next door. Let us help you report accurate food and nutrition information to your audience.
If you are looking for a nutrition expert for your story, we will help you find the right registered dietitian. Oregon dietitians work in various settings including research and academia, hospitals, community health, private practice and the food industry. Our goal is to help the media report relevant, current, science-supported facts about food, nutrition, culinary nutrition and food safety to our communities.

|Krista Miller, MS, RD
Krista Miller has served with the Oregon Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for several years. She has had the privilege to volunteer as Director of Communications and Conference Chair, and is excited to join the media team again as a media representative. After Krista became a registered dietitian, she completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition Science from Oregon Health and Science University. Her research, and subsequent thesis, focused on protein levels in adolescent athletes and corresponding injury rates. Krista worked as a dietitian for OHSU for several years and now has her focus on volunteering and her family, including her two girls, 3 and 1 years old. Krista enjoys reading, traveling, trying new recipes and most importantly eating good food while spending time with family and friends.
|Emily Fisher, RD, LD
Emily graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at OHSU. She currently works part-time in the Deli at New Seasons Market where she focuses on training new staff in multiple store locations. Her professional interests include sustainability, corporate wellness, and food allergy management. Ultimately, she aspires to be a cookbook author. Outside of work, Emily enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors and spending time in the kitchen with her family.
